- 1 x 420 gm can beans--choose whichever you like: five bean mix, kidney beans, cannellini beans, borlotti beans, etc. (pour off liquid)
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 large onion roughly chopped
- 1 cup chopped GF bacon
- 800 gm can chopped tomatoes (for variety, use ones which contain roasted capsicum or diced olives or whatever takes your fancy)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tbsp GF Worcestershire sauce
Method
- Add oil to pan & cook bacon and onions until onions are golden
- Add all other ingredients to pan & simmer covered for 30 to 45 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Serve on toast
If you have plenty of time, consider the slow-cooker version, it's a healthier option
